I don't see what having the balls to reply or say it as it is has to do with anything. Most people are just reading it to see what happens. And if they do post an OPINION not exactly the same as yours, you'll just tell them they are a looser and a crybaby, or even more likely a macho man.

Were all proud of 7maghunter, you da man, your right with everything you say and apparently all knowing with an open mind. Keep it up brotha, were right behind ya. Feel better now? I know I do.

It's obvious 7mag has some issues and he's been sent to his room for a couple days. If he can adjust his attitude he may be back. If not, I don't think we'll miss his wisdom and deep posts here.

I prefer Jack Handey thoughts, they make more sense

This is kind of a dumb question, but has the BLM ever though of selling their landlocked land and using the money to buy land that isn't locked up? It makes sense to me, like BigDog said, origionally it was land that nobody wanted. But that was because it wasn't any good for farming or ranching. But now it seems to be a hassle to the surrounding landowners, because they can't do anything with it and frustrating to hunters because they can't access it.

I don't blame the landowners for not letting everybody and there brother go tromping through there property to get to it, but then again I was brought up not to blame the world for my problems. I think anyone who thinks otherwise should look at it from there perspective. Would they honestly do it differently?

The BLM down here is doing some land swaps with the Indians. The Indians get the the little checkerboard pieces of BLM land inside their res to build MORE casinos and strip fashion malls on my old hunting ground and the BLM gets some land they want.

I'm overjoyed.

Every piece of BLM land should have a public easement PLAIN AND SIMPLE.And yes, I wouldn't want a lot of ya coming around If I owned a piece of property that was landlocking public land. Still don't make it right.

Along the way, the BLM was established to be in charge of this property. No money was ever spent to acquire it and trust me, no tax dollars are spent on maintaining it[/b]

Just curious, how does people working in BLM Office get paid?

I believe that's how the Paynes Ranch is now part of the Cache Creek BLM.

First of all I want to give Jesse my heartfelt thanks for giving us all a big sigh of relief from all that senseless repartee from negativeland. I was one of those that tried to give the light of day a chance to shine thru & give some warmth & cheers, but apparently just like Jesse said, the fellow simply has to disconnect & allow some good to move in. Whewww!!! Thank goodness for moderators!!!
Concerning almost landlocked BLM land & neighboring fences that mysteriously creep to close the gap(on a public strip of land) & deny rightful public access to BLM property, really nothing much can be done until you bring a camera & start photographing from all angles & GPS'ing the proper coordinates to pinpoint on photographs & GPS reading where the illegal fence encroachment is/are. Then write a letter to the local BLM office with your "proof" & ask for an explanation for their allowing squatting/encroaching on BLM property. If it is a sensible squatter/encroacher they will retreat & re-position the illegal fence to the proper boundary, if it is a nut who owns the illegal fence then more letter writing & possibly alerting the local paper could put enough pressure to crack the "nut" so to speak. If it is a "crazy" who put up the fence, then don't go back there without a newspaper reporter or a BLM guy. Let the BLM guy or a reporter do their job. They will be more believable in a lawsuit. Be on the alert when somebody is acting really strange, getting shot is not part of Hunting 101. Now I have to add a cheap camera to my daypack. God Bless. larrysogla.

7maghunter,

If you ever get out of your bedroom - I am puzzled by your comments and thought I would share them.

1) You call yourself a hunter but you don't hunt in the state that you live. In fact for someone who has never hunted in California you sure are quick to say that "Ca hunting sucks!!"

2) You say you don't hunt in Cali mostly because you don't have anyone to hunt with. And here I thought you would have email after email in your inbox from other hunters waiting to spend a few days with you in the woods.

3) .....I had to delete this point as your comments were too funny. And I don't mean "funny haha".

4) As many times that you coin the phrase "African Safari" someone might think you have a chip on your shoulder.

5) You wouldn't mind traveling to Texas to hunt pigs and like their fees which are closer to your $200 self imposed maximum fee you would pay for a pig. But it doesn't sound like you've hunted Texas... I guess one day. ??? Oh and I may be wrong here but, I don't think you have ever hunted pigs, anywhere. Am I wrong?

6) I see you just turned 37 years old. Wow!! How it must really suck not to have hunted since you were 21 or so. Right? I mean your last big game hunt was in '88 and you say you don't like to bird hunt because it makes you "fall asleep".

7) "and one time I sold my 2 nice rifles to keep gambling ".... Nuff said!

Oh and like you said previously..."C' mooon man where is your sense of humor ?? new or old don't mean anything we're all hunters"

Right???

Wait...Yep. I think I'm gonna do it......That's it, I just put a self-imposed ban on you. I don't think I will comment to any of your posts again. Whew! Do I feel better!!

I am glad you brought that up. That really pi##es me off when they do that. That is no different then stealing as far as I am concerned. But actually, what I find happening a lot more is the exact opposite. Whether this is done intentionally to keep people from accessing the public land or not, I don't know. But this is what I have been seeing. They won't put a fence up, but they will put a "no tresspassing" sign on their land. In and of its self totally legal. But with that, a lot of public land doesn't have fences or isn't marked very well. So with no fences to divide it and a "no tress passing" sign right there, its almost impossible to tell where the public access is. This really put a hinder on my hunting trip this year. But I learn from my mistakes and you can bet your bottom dollar I will be carrying land ownership maps where ever I go In the future.

Problem is.....who's gonna buy it? I'm sure there won't be much interest in a piece of land locked land from an outsider, and the current landowner already has full run of it. I can't think of a person that would be a potential buyer.
