I want to put in for this hunt this upcoming year but have never been up north in those neck of the woods. Was wondering if anyone would like to help me out if i am drawn for the hunt. Hopefully i will be since i have max points, whoever would be willing to help me out i would try to pay for most of everything. This isn't just a desperate plea but realisticly between school and work and i wouldn't be able to make all to many 6hour drives to scout ahead of time, so it would be nice to find someone that has previous knowledge of the area willing to help out a youngster. If someone is willing to help if i am drawn i would do my best to take them hunting to get them a blacktail where i have scored before.

Huntin Fool, I do not think you will have any problems getting into some respectable Lopes if you get drawn for this hunt. I was lucky enough to have gotten drawn 10 yrs ago and took a nice 14". My buddy got drawn year before last and I was going to go with him to spot but work got in the way so I couldn't go. I showed him on the map where I went and the spots I saw the most animals in and he bagged a nice buck 13 1/2" the 2nd day of the season. I live just outside Fresno If you do get drawn send me a note I will help in any way I can. Im hope in to get drawn myself

If you get drawn and I dont have any hunts going at that time...I'll go! I got a nice 16 1/2 inch buck their in 2001. I know the area fairly well...though that really doesnt help THAT much since these little buggers mosey around so much you never know where you will find them next. WR

I will think i will be putting in for the gun but the bow is very tempting, what was your experience while bowhunting?

I have been putting in for the wife and I for points only for likely tables for the last 3 years. Maybe the wife and I will draw this year.
