First off I am sorry guys and gals, camera got shut in the door of truck on first day, will take pics when it gets back from taxidermy.

DAY 1: Went to where I had a monster lope scouted called him big red. I set down waiting for the sun to come up. Sun comes up Big Red comes out I ranged him at 400 yds. I can and have shot that far before, but I decide to let him come down a little ways. He is coming in, rangefinder says 285 I put bipods out put crosshairs on him and boom. Somebody shoots at him from 427 yards behind me yes I ranged them too. Big Red is gone I am not happy. I move on to some watering holes to look at sign for more lopes. I find very little sign.

DAY 2: Alarm clock doesn't go off or I don't set it correctly. So I am late getting out to Big Red. I get out there and the same dummies were there so I go on to look for more sign at water. Spend all day looking at watering holes not seeing much sign. Where did all the lopes go that I scouted a week ago? Finally end of day I found where they are watering and ALL of the lopes in the area are watering there. There is a archery blind there, found where I am going to be first thing in the morning.

DAY 3: I make it to the blind before anybody else. I am there about 2 hours and the lope start coming in. I count 28 antelope, nothing worth shooting they all leave. I wait about another hour feeling not so good about myself I start gathering my stuff up and I see dust off in the distance. I look it is an antelope, he must be really thirsty he is on a dead run straight toward me. He comes over the rise and WOW he is a shooter. He is at 600+ yards still on a dead run he stops at 460 too far. He takes off on a dead run for about 100 yds he stops at 355. I cant wait no more I pull the trigger. You guys know the rest of the story. He is now at the taxidermist. I got him green scored at 75 3/8 not a monster But it is my first lope, I am proud of it so he is getting put on the wall.

Congrats on the lope. I think I might have had something to say to those other hunters though. Sounds like you won't be posting any pics soon, that's too bad about your camera. Looking forward to seeing him and congrats agian.

I had plenty to say to the other hunters but it wasn't proper to put on the forums. The taxidermist is a good friend said he would have me done by Christmas. I might be able to have him take a picture.

TIP: Dont have your camera strap around your wrist when you shut the door.
