Molokai is part of Maui County. They have public land there and all you need is a rental car and shotgun. Check out the bird regs for Hawaii and they have maps showing public hunting lands for all the islands.Thanks for the info.......What's the deal with Molokai do you have to pay or get a special permit?

I think I did mention it before. It was in '04 when I saw it. It was a black nanny on top of a dry waterfall in a gulch back inside behind the gun range. I could have shot her but she wasn't what I was looking for.Sounds fun!
Glass eye, was that you that told me they seen a goat up there some years back? Somebody told me that and by the time I got to go for myself, I saw no aniamls at all, or at least none inside Ukumehame valley. After some researching I found that the area received an aerial culling some time between.
That's a shame you can't hunt bird by Ukumehame. I know there's loads of grey granklin out there.
