Conditions for the coming Memorial Day Weekend could hardly be more disparate –- from great to nightmare — across the state as the recreation season launches for summer. People are included in that assessment. For many hard-working 9-to-5ers, this weekend is the first chance of the year for a multi-day trip, and the anticipation is off the charts. For others, who avoid crowds at all costs, they would no more plan a trip to a popular area over a three-day weekend as they would go ice fishing in the Antarctic.
