Actually it netted 154! inside spread is 20 5/8. Bagged him on the evening of Dec 23, 1993. Had hunted the farm all fall without any idea he was around! I'm jealous of that "virgin" 600 acres in Johnson County - that's a great area! how did you luck into that?
I guessed pretty close on the spread, figured 20", can't really tell the main beam length, but the G-2's look to be 10" or better and the brow tines look like almost 6" apiece.
Regardless, AWESOME buck!! :TST
My buddies grandad owned it and leased it to Hilti quarry. When the rock quarry shut down they returned the land to it's original state.
No one has hunted there since my buddies brother was a teenager, he's almost 40 now.
They don't own all the property, but the neighbor who does is cool about me bowhunting it. Nice rolling hills and real good funnelled draws.

Wow - its a small world - I know the Hilty Quarry people. In a duck club with 'em, too. That buck was arrowed on some land they own jointly with another friend of mine. Their employees probably hunted the quarry while it was open, but it only takes a few years to grow a big'un!

I just finished some brush-hogging on my property, today. I hated to intrude, but that's the only way to gain access to some areas. My place is full of does - I was finding beds everywhere. I'm hoping that Monster Buck I was talking about is going to come around. It sure is nice to have a bunch of "ladies" living here - buck magnets!
My parents are coming down this weekend for a visit. Hope you have a good weekend!
Am in St. Charles, hunt Franklin county near Beaufort, and just got permission for the MO bottoms up north of St. Charles
MO is great hunting! Turkey are everywhere.
I was down near Springfield, about 30-40 miles north on 65 the other day, saw an Albino yearling, with its momma and its sibling (both normal coats). It was pretty cool, the 3rd albino/white deer I have ever seen (all white, not piebald).
Hey All! Guess I'm the new guy on the block... But I am in MO so I thought I'd make my first post here and say Hi to everyone. I live in St. Louis county but have a few acres in southern Madison county. Love going hunting there and do a little fishin down the road on the St. Francis when I can find the time. Most of my free time right now is getting my hunting cabin built and getting some food plots established. I'm not known for posting a bunch but sure do get allot of tips and food for thought on hunting and land management from BB's like this one. Looking forward to reading all of your posts and chattin a bit... Till then, Good huntin & be safe
I live in Missouri now, grew up in S.Calif. born in Iowa, Sioux City. Living just west of Warrensburg now, only been in the state since Janurary. Nice Buck! Matt....Chairman, are you retired airforce? My brother in-law was stationed at Whiteman for years, he's retired and lives in Warsaw now, he and his wife go to Whiteman often. Sounds like a great bunch of guys around these parts, and some of us are fairly close to each other, almost spit'n distance. Gonna have to have a get-to-getha sometime, when it cools off, and the ticks aren't crawlin up the legs. I have seen alot of "roadkill" deer between Clinton and Urich there on 7 hwy. My realtor has her office there "united Country" Gladys & Evelyn Harper. When I was staying in Warsaw at my bro-in-laws, I commuted to work up 7 hwy to KC, always seen dead and live deer on that hwy through them bottoms.
Yes, I'm retired air force. I was stationed at Luke AFB (Phoenix, AZ.) '78 ~ '79. I had a motorcycle accident, and was retired with a disability. I was born & raised in Kansas City, KS. ~ moved down here in '96, and loving it. We're about 12 miles East of Clinton, off of C Hwy.
We see deer year 'round. I own 80 acres with plenty of bedding & fawning areas. I go back & forth on 7 Hwy. to KC all the time ~ see plenty of deer along the highway ~ dead & alive....
