My grandson drew an Oryx permit last year and I finally got around to posting the results.
He was age 9 at the time and had already become a seasoned hunter the week earlier by
downing a cow Elk. He nailed this Oryx with one shot at 230 yards with a .270 Win. The
horns are 38 & 39 inches. Dig the grin on his face. I guess all that practice I did with him paid off!

Awesome! That is a great oryx. I want that tag so bag I'm going all the way to Africa to get one.

Very fine looking animal especially for a junior hunter , can tell he is real proud of it !

Question though , I assume these are an introduced species to the states , what states are they huntable in , imagine Texas might be one ?

Dan, yes Tx is one state and I think New Mexico does draws for oryx
