When i ask the guy at the registration window Sunday morning about the harvest report, he said only one pig is taken.and its in area 13w............ just curious.
So we were the only one to get a pig. Man we spotted the herd of about 12-15 eating I stop to wait for sunlight n the next thing u heard is hogs. We were real lucky to get it.
Henry54, congrats to your son. Which way did all the pigs ran after your son shot the boar? Did they cross the road and run uphill or did they run up the hill on the side of the pond that has no road?
Uphill on which side of the pond? The side with the road or the side with no road? I'm just trying to figure why they were not in the spot where they usually go after getting spooked.
And yes if you search JHO for my posts (titled "Says who that there are no pigs on public land..."), it will answer your question and many more questions that you may have about FHL.
We heard a shot a few mins later in the direction the pig ran. we thought someone else got a hog. Man there was a bigger on at least 225lbs+ he was alot bigger than my son's hog. The reason he didnt shot him was he was being blocked by others. I think I was more excited than my son but I didnt want to show him. There nothing like seeing your son happy and excited about getting his first hog..
