Ok guys I have wanted to do this since I found this site. :JHO rocks:
Last Thursday 8/27/09 after 5 days of hard hunting and not seeing anything but deer and yotes, my uncle finally connected with this nice buck in the Clear lake zone. He looked to be the heard buck in a heard that had about 30 head in it. After the initial spot it took my uncle and little brother 2.5hrs and about 3 miles to get within shooting distance. (They bumped the heard at about 200 yds and had to chase them) with the rolling hills and the trees running out, my uncle had to take the shot because they where not going to get any closer so he laid down on a old stump and my brother spotted for him. He squeezed the trigger on his .270 and 478 yards later the bullet connected. My brother said the fir flew and he picked up his feet and he hit the ground! ONE-AND-DONE!!!!!!!! This boy is going to look good on his wall. I scored him to be 74 2/8 green, with 13.5” inside spread and 13 7/8” horn length. Not to shabby in our books.
