i'm new to archery and got picked for the x9a hunt. i went up there this weekend to scout and am very unfamilar with the area. i did see some doe in the Lundy area. is there any other place i should be looking at. i appreciate any advise or comments anyone gives me, this will be my first time in the field. so any info from you veteran hunters would be great, thanks :confused-yellow:

I'm assuming you have an A16 tag, X9a is a rifle tag. Most of the guys I know that hunt that unit have found more deer on the west side of hwy 395 during archery season. If you're up for a backpack trip you might want to check out some of the alpine hunting on that units northern border. Good luck!

Look in the flats just west of Big Springs campground. If you have a ground blind, all the better. Watch for mountain lions!

thanks for the advise, is there a lot of lion traffic in that area?
