Hey LD, would you happen to have that pic of my old girlfriend? The one that likes to care for young animals (piglets).....if the OR team could find another one like her for me, i guarantee success for team CA[/b]

Now Kirk, we don't want ot send them OR boys home with to much shame. That girl of yours would just put you guys way over the top. All the pigs would be in line and where is the sport in that...

<
....oh well, we'll have to do it the old fashion way.....hard work & good shootin'.
<

I heard that in order to be considered for "Team JUDO", you have to have pink on pink fletching....but aren't you guys hunting against (or with) "Team San Francisco"?

Good news, good news!! I was gonna hold off on this, didn't want team OR to find out....but my hunting vehicle should be fixed in plenty of time for this hunt. It was gonna be close, but the last trip to chopper's caused some serious damage to my rig.....w/ the Grand Prix roaming the ranch, the pigs better be $hitin' it & gettin' it.
<
Course it only took 3 weeks to get it fixed......

Okay, i'm back. Been out for a couple of days. I noticed the interest in this thread is heading south.

I see us Oregon boys are a little out numbered here. I believe it is OregonCritters and myself against all of you guys'.

What should we do now, start posting photos of past kills. Let the photos do the talking?

I've got a ton of OregonCritters and myself.

Bubba-

The cow elk are the ones without antlers. How is that for a pointer?

Seriously, why cow hunt with archery equipment? Oregon allows for bull hunts in a ton of units. What unit are you looking to hunt in? A general non-resident tag, pretty much gives you free reign of the entire state during archery season.

Haven't narrowed down a unit yet. I assumed only cow tags were OTC. I am lookig at central/eastern OR...I'll look at the map and tell you which units I was thinking about...

Bubba-

Oregon sells general elk tags, which allows for bull or cow. There are a few units that have restrictions. Chesnimnus, Weneha over east have restrictions. And the Tioga on the coast have restrictions. But for 95 % of the state, is OTC open for bull or cow.

Now with this information don't all you Californians come up here and screw up our elk hunting. j/k

Come on A.S.

comparing elk to hogs ?
<

Let's say, if we come down to shoot your deer, bear, hogs, and turkeys, then you can take an elk. That would be almost even.
