Just made it back to work. Got home around midnight last night. Thanks to everyone who made this trip possible. Thanks to the CA squad for the drinks and food. I enjoyed all of your company.

BUBBA - You are an amazing chef. Thanks so much for the grub. I've never been so full in my life. After about 20 minutes of chowing, I was just eating for the taste. Sorry you took off before we came out of the field Sunday morning. But you know what it is like when you have to drag a pig out of the poison oak. Thanks again.

I have a ton of photos that i'm going to link off of Choppers website. I will post a few of them in a few minutes on JHO.

Kirk - give me a shout when you come up to Eugene.
Cecil - thanks for taking care of the meat for us, let us know how much we owe your for the processing.

Jody and I scored on this hog at 7:45 opening morning. Jody did a good job capturing this one on film.

6 hogs cruised off the bank 30 yards in front of me as we were walking the road. 5 of them crossed, but we whistled and the last little piggie stopped, and i zipped an arrow through him. He went 30 yards and died in the view of the camera.

Team OR strategy was to get on board early. Even if it was a small hog.

Nice photos Shay, or maybe i will start calling you the Team Oregon MVP. This was an awesome hunt with some very memorable moments. The video looks good and both teams hunted hard.

Bubba- thanks a bunch for feeding our sorry tired buts. That was some of the best eating i've had in a while.

AS- 3 inches left and down

Note to self- the video will be funny... but 2 misses is not!!!

I have to admit - this was probably one of the most enjoyable hunting trips I have ever been on. Kudo's to the California team for being such an outstanding group.

I have hunted with LOTS of different people but honestly this felt like hunting with old fiends. There is a rumor of doing this again next year.

I'd talk to chopper, I believe he might set up stadium seating (for a small fee of course)

I will be posting some photos and stories soon. One thing... those pigs are tough!!

For everyones information. Jody (Oregon Critters), is probably the best shooter during crunch time, that i've been around. And for him to blank on two pigs is so uncharacteristic, I wouldn't believe it, if i didn't have it so clearly displayed on film.

But I guess even the best miss.

Total count of hogs that met all the criteria for the contest:
California = 2
Oregon = 2

Total number of hogs missed:
California - 5
Oregon - 4

Total number of hogs hit but lost:
California = 1
Oregon = 3

By virtue of all the rules set forth before this contest, I declare team Oregon the winner based on the total weight and lower tusk measurement of their 2 hogs versus the totals for team California's 2 hogs.
There were a total of 7 hogs taken by the 2 teams, unfortunately, 3 of the 7 did not meet the criteria to be scored.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated.

I believe Arrowslinger should not be invited back next year since he did not kill anything, in his place I will fill his spot! Where can I buy the video?

Okay, if you replace ArrowSlinger next year, I will pick him up on waivers and move him up to Oregon, and he can be on our team. I dig the way that guy hunts. Even though he shouldered that big boar, he hunts hard and is in shape to hike any canyons.

I just wanted to add that I greatly appreciated everything Chopper does to keep that ranch in tip top shape. And Yes, to Jesse.. I did not get a chance to thank you for the excellent cooking. You would make someone a great wife!

Arrowslinger did a great job hunting with Pigig and was quite handy getting the kill shot on film. Another thing too, when my hunting partner hit that sow and she ran to depths of hell AS & Skeeks were right there with us blood trailing her. Hats off to those two.

Although I've never met you Lurediver, I think the CA team was put together very well. Maybe a 5 gallon drum of Crown may get you a place on the team, that was definitely a crowd pleaser.

This is my 2nd pig. This one replaced the first score that I got on the first day hog.

This one was amazing on film. An original lethal arrow at 24 yards, and then a backup arrow at a mere 2 yards, as it ran full speed past Tim and I. He was able to get another arrow in it. As we know, those things are tough, and the more arrows the better.

Last one...

Me with Wil, He did a good job getting this one on film. It was a tough deal. Especially with a crazed hog running at our feet.
