I have a good buddy who is potentially hooking me up with a big work contract. He asked if I could help him put together a hunt for him and his father. His dad is kinda up there in age, but most problematic (at least in finding a hunt) he is a big smoker. I told him that he would have trouble finding a hunt where an outfitter would let someone smoke in a stand. But, if he did a speed goat hunt, where in essence they cover tons of ground in a rental car looking for goats, that seems to be a better option. I know that the unit I hunted with OT and SD was a primo unit in WY. How about any unit that does OTC antelope? It doesnt even need to be WY, although I figured that to be the best with the huge population.

No OTC tags, but there are tons of undersubscribed units every year where you can get a tag, and usually lots of leftover tags in those units. They are the units with mostly private land. You would just need to line up access beforehand, or make sure that there are some walk-in areas in that unit that you can hunt. That shouldn't be very hard as the GFD puts out a long list of ranches that allow hunting for a trespass fee. You'd just have to call a few. Most are a few hundred bucks. Or look on the GFD website to see if the unit has any walk-in areas for antelope hunting. The area where I killed my big B&C goat has plenty of tags every year because it is almost all private.

Tell the damn dude to chill on the tobaccy for a few days. If OT can do it, anyone can.

The unit we hunted really sucks. There are not many antelope there. We just got really lucky. Shhhhhh.
