So I am new to pigs and have had no mentoring. It's all been self taught through reading and getting out there. i have yet to connect with one, but I am close on tracks. I found a spot with tracks, scat, and rooting. I'm sure of all that, but I am looking for more info on what their bedding areas look like. I am not sure if this is deer bedding? It's in an area that I am confident the hogs are at. I could not find specific discerns or track around it, or any hair in the bedding/on trees surrounding it to give me the definitive clue.
Can you guys post some pics of some hog bedding zones ?
I am excited as hell being a self taught hunter working myself this hot on them, all in public land. I've met a buddy who has no experience on it either, through jesses, so that's good to share the learning curve. Time in the glassing positions and hopefully we can connect.
I've attached the bedding found and some rooting. But is that hog bedding?? Any tips on how to tell besides hair and track marks?
Thanks guys
