He ya'll,

Just wanted to tell you all thanks for this awesome web site. This really got me going on pig hunting.
I live in Sonoma County near Lake Sonoma. I've been asking everyone I know for permission to access their property for pigs. Most say yes. Found this pasture approx 45-50 acres, total property 200+ acres.
They raise lambs and was told by the owner that pigs and any coyotes are fair game. Here are some pics from today's outing. It's been raining on/off for the last few days so when there was a break in the weather I went scouting. If the weather lets up this weekend I'll be out Sat. & Sun. Looks like their bedding down off the property. I did not find any new rooting but they've torn that pasture from one end to the other. I was able to find what I think is a pig turd. What you think? I broke it up looks like it was eating alot of grass.
Any suggestions? Thanks, P.S. I think I have the Pig Fever "it's all I think about"

Looks piggy.

Have the owners seen them during daylight?

Find their trails and other sign - hair on fence wire and posts, rubs, tracks. Pay attention to the wind, and set up to jump them at first or last light.

Good luck.

Thanks Guys,

I've been asking around and people tell me that they are coming in at night. I've been dropping by at different times but it looks like towards the end of the day. There's about 2 creeks and 3-4 streams in the area. I've been walking the fence lines. The heavy rain has washed away alot of sign. Just waiting for some sun.

Look at the fence wire at any spots you suspect they may be pushing under. If you find pig hair, there ya go.
