I happened to catch the last 30 minutes of a documentary on wild pigs in Georgia last night on Animal Planet. It showed how the place is being overrun by pigs. People were shooting them at night, trapping them and so forth. Seeing the many pigs running across my tv got me pumped up. I almost grabbed my 30.06 and point to one on my tv LOL. J/K. Anyhow, the show is saying that we are living in a pig world and in a few years, the whole place could be overtaken by pigs. They even mentioned how the problem is spreading to CA. But, I say it's spreading my arse, because I don't see any on public land. Private lands getting my $$$ to shoot pigs will never be on my list of things to do. Seeing that many pig in GA almost makes me want to hop on the next plane out just to get some action. Heck, I think that'll be worth it....instead of paying over $600 for a guided hunt in CA. People are always telling me that CA is overrun with pigs and no body wants those wild pigs roaming their properties. Well, here's what I say to that situation.....if it's such a nuisance for you to see pigs destroy your property then why not just open it up to the public hunters to solve your problem. In return, we get rid of the problem. Hunters will be happy eating the pig and owners will be happy to have the pig problem resolved. It's a win, win situation for both parties. Does anyone else agree?
