It's been a great seaon already and it's just begun!

Heres the numbers so far:

Jan 6 - 1
Jan 20 - 4
Jan 27 - 5
Jan 28 - 8

All nice fresh sheds! Pics from Jan 20th are in another post ("On the board for 2007"), Camera battery died on me yesterday in the cold, but there was nothign huge, so no big deal.

Yep, sheds are dropping now, or have dropped already. It's a way earlier year than the last few. I never found my first shed until Febuary sometime last year.

Well, we had some pretty severe weather here this week. Very cold, lots of blowing snow. Conditions weren't great for shed hunting, but my buddy and I ventured out to our hot spot (were I found the big set 2 weeks ago).

I had a trail cam there, and it hardly had any pics on it from a week.....no fresh sign, and someone else had been there too (actually got a pic of another shed hunter on my camera). So needless to say, we didn't stay there long.

We decided to try a different spot where my buddy found a good shed last weekend and saw lots of sign. We got there, and there was still great fresh sign. It was so cold and the wind was blowing hard..our eyes were watering and fingers freezing.

We walked lots of great sign, but with no luck, so we started to head back to the truck. We had almost made it back to the truck, and I spotted this shed...................yeah, I just about crapped!

This is the biggest whitetail shed I've EVER found!! I just rough scored it at 92 6/8 inches. It has 7 points......mass galore, and a 25 inch main beam.

Even now, back at home I can't stop playing with it.

o my god! that is amazing. u lucky dawg. i found nine white tail sheds yeasterday and that thing weighs more than all of them put together! congrads!

Absolutely awesome shed. Congrats. Keep looking for that other one. Wouldn't that be awesome. I would then find myself a cape and head for the taxidermist. That bucks if he has a matched side anywhere close is well over 200 inches. Unbelievable. Property you can hunt next year???
