Predator 1's 2006 Shed season

Sorry to hi-jack your idea deershed, but it just makes sense. anyway here we go!

Finally! after my 7th outing I've found my first shed for 2006. A real nice, super fresh dark 4 point.

I had already walked by it 3 or 4 steps and I really don't know what made me turn my head. I found 1 more after that and had a great afternoon.

I have the day off work tommorrow as well, hopefully more to come!

I had another awesome day! Found 3 more fresh ones. All were fairly tough finds. 2 out of 3 I had to verify with binos. The 3rd, which was the biggest I saw at 60 yards and from the angle I was at it didn't look like anything more than a small stem/stick and I though about not even checking it out (I look at hundreds of sticks and stems through binos every time I shed hunt). This time it payed off, and I was rewarded with a 63 inch 5 point!

Note: I should mention I only have pics of 2 out of the 3. My dog got to one of them before I could to get an "as it lay" pic and it wasn't that big or unique.

Good job Pred!! I have been out several times and as of last Weekend lots still had horns down in th e South flat lands. Looks like you have a lot of snow as well, everthing is pretty much black here. Good luck,

I went out just for the afternoon today with my Friend Dan, his dog Corah, and my 2 dogs Champ and Suzie.

Champ found the first antler of the day and the first of the year for him! It was also the biggest he's ever found and the biggest of the day!

Another surprise was that Suzie (chocolate lab) who has had no formal shed training also found here first antler ever!

The first 2 sheds were found by the dogs and I added another 2 more after that which brought the total for the day to 4 and 9 for the year.

Unfortunatly I had forgotten my camera and Dan's wasn't working that great so I had to wait til I got home to take pics. What a great day! I'm very proud of both the dogs.
