I also posted this on the waterfowl page to.
I am putting the feelers out now for the 10/11 duck season. Unless my club manager pulls some of the tanks in the club or better screens the people he leases blinds too, I am going to bail out of my Robbins location. Too many knuckle heads that think the rice is a refuge and too many "cry babies" hunting the place. Don't get me wrong I know that any type of hunting is going to have it's good and it's bad days. Seasons are what they are and so on. You just have to make the best of the opportunity that is presented to you. I just feel that the club I am currently at has almost gone "commercial" with the amount of people hunting the area and the proximately of the blinds to one another.
I know it has been a rough season again this year and some people just need to understand that. But most still don not realize it is hunting. Take it for what it is worth. Me I am happier than last year since I only hunted 12 times for 23 birds due to my job with Bass Pro Shops.
With that being said, here is what I am looking for. I am looking for a 4 man tank at 5K or less or a 2 man tank at 3K or less. I would like to find something within an hours drive of Sacramento in which I might be able to park a trailer at or leave a storage container. Part of the reason why I am asking now is that there is some birds down in the valley in which this will give me an opportunity to survey the land and possible flight pattens (if there are any birds).
