Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has bow hunted antelope in Lassen or Likely Tables. I have max points and going to put into one of the two but i'm not sure which one has better chance of getting a antelope. I have looked up the hunter success over the years and they seem to be close. But i was woundering if anyone could tell me with one you think has a better chance to get an antelope on public land with a bow.

I have hunted in Likely tables with a gun and I thought the hunt was somewhat difficult. I think it will be a real chalange to get a stinkalope with a bow in Cal without alot and I mean a ton of scouting. I think that ethere hunt would be good but you are really going to need to find a good water hole and set up to get a shot at a goat.

You might want to, if you can swing it go to another state with better odds of getting a goat and a tag and get alittle practice and experiance (if you need it?) before you take the plunge and use all your points in CA. If you are not young it may be the only antelope tag you ever get in CA.

You can get a tag in OR almost on the other side of the state line with little or no points for archery. ID are over the counter. I went to Id last year and was succesful if you want some help with ID. And WY has more antelope than any other as far as success goes.
I think UT can get some archery licences with little points also. MT, SD, CO also have easy to get archery tags.

Just some ideas I don't want to crush your dreams or anything. I just don't want you to use your points and then have regrets about what you have goten into.
Good luck

Thanks for the information Tom Petterson, I know that its not very good odds, but i'm only 19 so I figured i will get drawn atleast one more time in my life. I have thought about the out of state thing but i can't find anyone who wants to go out of state for antelope. But thanks for the information.
