How many coyotes are in San Francisco?###A lot more than anybody thinks, apparently. Coyote sightings have been reported in the past month from just about anywhere there is greenbelt and water. The most common locations in San Francisco for sightings are Golden Gate Park (Stow Lake, others), the Presidio (Mountain Lake), Harding Park and nearby golf courses (and Lake Merced), Stern Grove (Pine Lake), Mountain Sutro and Twin Peaks (Twin Peaks Reservoir), and Mount Davidson (Stanford Heights Reservoir), According to official numbers, 10 coyotes lived in city parks in 2010, and last year the number was raised to 13.
