150Gr E-tip .308

passed through the ribs, spines and stopped at the right shoulder.
Took me 3 hours to butcher my pig, first time doing to I am pretty happy with the results. Next on the Agenda is making some Sausage.

good times.:toast-yellow:

How so? looks like good expansion to me. Could have mushroomed a little more, but sounds like it worked.

i dont know how that could have mushroomed any more. it looks like it retained all of its mass and pushed through. what its designed to do. ive killed 2 massive animals since ive shifted over to all copper and i must say that the exit wounds have been barbaric. to say the least. what do you have to say about the hunt at tejon? for someone whos never been there?

Seems like there might be a few here who don't realize that k_rad is pulling your leg...

Reminds me of when I posted a photo of a mangled A-Frame (another site) and a bunch were chirping 'bullet failure'. If it's in the salt--it didn't fail!

Nice job and great write up on the Tejon thread BTW.

I'm at Vandenberg as I write--just finished glassing two monster boars. No way to get at them though.

They were at least 1 mile and one hella-steep canyon away. The mustard/grass is unbelievably thick as well. You could walk up on them and never see them. Of course there was the matter of the 30 mph winds--gusting to 45...

...and it's ALL good...

I looooove those all copper Barnes bullets................they punch through and exit on the other side.............sometimes leaving the wound tunnel like a tornado ripped through. Those mushroomed all copper X petals are like razor blades that cut through the animal flesh.............and if it hits bone............there is more destruction. Those are mighty fine animal demolishing ammo.

The ENTRANCE hole was frickin rediculous. The way it hit on the angle ripped a hole you could put your fist through. It was impressive to see in person

Yes I absolutely was pulling your leg. As a matter of fact here is a picture of the exit wound. I am just amused by posts that claim copper does not kill as good as lead. Reeedickulass...

Just another ho-hum yawn copper bullet success story.......

I am a devoted convert and have killed dozens of hogs with the Barnes. From centerfire to muzzleloader they do the job.

Ok, I'll be the bad guy...I think Barnes suck big green.... well you get the idea! I've shot more than one animal that walked quite aways with a pass thru shot.

Now, the E-tips, I like.

That picture K-rad posted is the ENTRANCE

My bad...
entrance, exit, BIG F&%@#'N HOLE!

Lt. Dann: really?! I am surprised. One brand of copper is better/worse than another? I can't buy it... Two responces to that:
1. Pigs are Zombies and can still walk around dead...
2. Shot placement (no whineing)
