I've got my camera wired and box ready to build the rest of the camera.

I've been asking alot of questions as I am new to this.

I just read Pyromedic's post about refresh for the Owl. In the home brew intructions I never saw this and thought it was only for digital cameras. The schematic does not show a refresh timer.

Am I missing something ?

you do not need a refresh for the Canon Owl. The refresh keeps the camera awake if it turns itself off after a certain period of time. The Owl does'nt go to sleep so you do not need the refresh.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I understood about the Owl PF too!

What are they talking about in that previous post? Any ideas?

The Owl PF don't "Have" to have it but without it, there may be a long delay b-4 the cam can take a pix (I had one that went 7 seconds) after being in the woods overnight or a few days. The refresh (1/4 sec every 7 minutes) keeps the Owl awake so it only takes a second or so for the cam to snap a pix

I'm pretty sure this is mentioned in the Random Thoughts post in the Archived section, you might want to read that for more info on the cams.
