Salmon make a comeback in Central Valley rivers

Salmon are returning to Central Valley rivers and streams in impressive numbers this fall, restoring hope that years of shortages and fishing closures are over.

Bill Templin, a Trout Unlimited board member, and Mary Tappel wade Miner's Ravine in Roseville to count chinook salmon Friday as part of a volunteer effort. Salmon are returning to Valley streams and rivers in numbers not seen in several years.​
