wow, brave original poster. too many experience hunters here to slowpitch a thread like this.

for me, it is nothing like that. i love meeting people, learning things and passing a bit on to other. hunting has no room for a chip on the shoulder attitude like that.

Dang!!!!!!!!!! If the original post here had reflected an IQ above 50, I would have suspected that the poster was related to Ted Kazynski (the unibomber). Nevertheless, since they both seem to share the same idealogical perspective of all other humans on earth, I suspect that the poster either built Ted's shack for him, or at least sold Ted the plans for the shack based upon his own "low impact" abode. Scary stuff, it's idealogies like this that seem to result in some follks getting weird and taking it upon themselves to "thin" the bad crop. Scary stuff!

Scent management is critical.
Aint it the truth.
Just look at what happened when you can in here without learning the lay of the land.
You really stunk up your entry.

That opening post was lower than a snakes belly in a wheel rut.

For those of you who responded to this post, maybe you feel a little guilty of what I'm talking about? All of you frothing at the mouth to get the "new guy" because you're so board with your own life, need to spend your time more constructively. The post, albeit misguided and inarticulate was meant for me to vent my frustration to a very specific group of individuals.

Whoa, first time troll and a long time whiner... Great way to meet people and make friends.
Haven't seen a post quite this belligerent in some time...

IMHO, "hasbowwillhunt", you need to lighten up a tad and if you are seriously interested in gaining knowledge, button the piehole and do a little reading as all you seek is here for the looking...
Most of "us here" are long time sportsman and women who will gladly help others and give out info and insight. But, you by your own admission are here to stir up trouble and looks like you found it.

I'm not going to bash the guy he has a right to speak his opinion. Of course I'm not going to defend him, but if it wasn't for some of the folks on here I wouldn't have been able to hunt some species or experience different types of hunts. I have gathered a great deal of wealthy knowledge from some of the JHO's. I'm so grateful that there are fellow hunters that could help me. I'm new to <st1>California and greatly appreciate all their help. And another thing I owe credit to is my father. He was the one that started it all for me taking me to woods hunting, scouting, camping, and taking me to my hunters ed course. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have a clue or maybe not even interested in hunting. And it never fails that if I have a situation he is always there to give me advice in becoming a better hunter. If you were a people person (which your obviously not) you could get very far in life off of that tactic alone. </st1><o></o>

I'm just curious do have a child that you could teach and pass on what little wisdom that you have to carry on a tradition? Just teaching a young one the experience of hunting can change a person’s outlook on life. But then again I think about it maybe its best if you didn't reproduce and pass on those piss poor genes that you have.<o></o>

I'm not sure if you are aware of first impressions but the one that you have made here is definitely not a good one. <o></o>

On the upside I'm sure some of would agree that it is disappointing when another comes across your setup and disregards your presence. But we all have had it happen. You just overlook their stupidity. And not dwell over it.

<o></o>I think there maybe some deeper issues than just being a disgruntle hunter. Maybe you should get some professional help.

Can anyone recommend someone for this guy to go see?<o></o>

Sorry, but it looks like you're not getting any sympathy here. I would suggest that you take your whining to your wife, she might listen. Whats her name Bill or is it John.

Let it go. I've been labeled and you all have a sour taste in your mouth. I get it, you all go hunt together and become friends. Those are not my intentions. Obviously! I'm all about hunters wanting to be better hunters. That is my point. This place is too crowded, and we are all tired of guys messing up everyone else's hunt on public land because they are lazy or just don't care. Just be cognoscente of all the things pertaining to hunting, including hunter etiquette. The day I had originally posted, I had just got home from hunting and had this guy tramp blatantly past me, on through some bedding area only to spook a hog I had been after for several hunts. When I had returned to the vehicle, his buddy had been sleeping in their rig, so I asked "where you from"? and he replied. Then I asked " How'd you hear of this place"? He replied JHO. Now I'm not knocking the web site, as I feel It is a positive. I just hoped to reach out to them, but with fire on the tongue and anger raging inside. It was to late, and the damage is done. I'll chalk it up to a learning experience and move on from there. Peace out.

AAAhhhh I'm sorry muffin but you grought this on yourself by blasting everyone on this site. So the apoligies are not very sincere IMO. If you truly had the issue it could have been resovled by talking to the gentlemen. Hell there are people that read the forum who are not even members. So the fact is the venting of yours could have done nothing but piss everyone off here instead of telling those you intended to associate your feelings with like a gentleman. Could not even be a member and will never see your vent.

Wussy! IMHO

"......I get it, you all go hunt together and become friends. Those are not my intentions............"

i am sorry for your crappy experience. that sucks. but i am not a rich hunter. 95% of what i do is on public land. it is part of the deal. public land has just that running about...the public!. i deal with it. i just add it to the "charm and challenges" of the experience.

your quote above; that is one of my favorite parts of hunting. the cameraderie! making friends, chatting it up, chit talking.........the 5% of private land i do get to hunt? every bit of it as been opened up to me through some hunting friendship.
