Thanks Farallon for the story on your friend and that really sucks and everyone's worse nightmare and sorry for your loss. As I said I don't hunt hogs in the brush with a knife and never will. But do with a pistol, but the one thing that I have mentioned yet is it can be very dangerous way of hunting just for this reason above. You need know who your hunting with and all need to be safe and practice the basics of hunting hogs safely. Safe backdrops, know what your shooting, know where everyone is at all times and most importantly don't take a shot if you are not certain and o any chance of hurting anyone. My last input on this thread and to make it very clear, this is not for beginners and newbie hunters. If I was steering any new hunters to consider this, that was not my intention. Please be safe!

So with all this "advice" I gather I should take my wife hunting and argue all day????
Your argument would be over the size of the freezer you'll need for all the piggies that show up on your game camera.

Bubble you may be a great hunter but you suck at turd identification you should leave that to the professionals

The picture I looked at, the only one with what could have been mistaken as a turd, clearly was the pigs ball sack. From one turd to another, I have no idea what you were looking at, but it obviously must have resembled ass, much more than the picture I was looking at. No disrespect intended.

Great hunter, yeah, buddy, I'm just a hunter, and I can smell pig poo a mile away, no smell to picture I was looking at, and the laptop screen was right in-front of me.

For those bound to comment without the following, laughs intended.

There's a joke in there somewhere but i'm no expert in turds, ball sacks and ass. Not to mention my jokes tend to land flat as a cow patty.

Holly pig turds Batman, I see the picture being referred to, you boys are correct, it's a turd for sure. Sorry about the mix-up.

Nope no joke in there, just thought someone would get a laugh from it. I guess I'm mistaken again.

Played hookie with the wife yesterday. There was snow on the mountains along some local parks. Wife wanted to go for a bike ride/picnic at the park. I wasn't gonna say no to that. We got to the park late, about noon. Immediately we start seeing animals along the trails. Deer, Turkey got to see a Bald Eagle. Took pics of a few. Being that its the off season, decided to take my binos to practice glassing potting game when we sat down to eat. Found deer sitting in shade on far off hilltops. Started glassing across the lake in an area that has restricted access. And around some thick brush I spotted some cows and amongst them, was a loan boar. The cows were maybe 3-400 pounds and I estimated the boar just under 200lbs. I took pics but keep in mind this off my phone, shot is across a lake, sun behind them and shinning off the lake as well so not the best but I zoomed in and the pig is between 2 cows, estimated distance ~700yards. This as maybe 1:30pm. Again at a local park so another reason the boar may have felt comfortable being out during the day. Let me post the pics.

You have a nice cellphone if you could make 700 yard shot, On mine 100 yards hardly visible.
