Hi guys,

I'm interesting about any advice to go shooting some quails in southern California.

What about this Marine Base in San Clemante??

Thanks for help

Do you mean Camp Pendleton? There are safety classes you need to attend and many other stipulations. I believe you must be active duty or retired military, but not real sure. Either way, it's a paper chase.

After 9/11 you have to be active military or retired. There is plenty of quail to hunt there though.

As a very Active hunter on the Camp Pendleton, the above information is correct at this time. There is a little more added info though. DOD employees are allowed to hunt the base. Dependants of the Active Duty or retired are also allowed to hunt. Please check out the Pendleton Sportsman's Club website at http://thesportsmansclub.netfirms.com There is a lot of information on the site and contact information for the base wardens is on the site also. There is always civilians wanting to hunt the base. I personally had a meeting with the Base CG and he stated he is not interested in allowing civilians to hunt the base at this time. Perhaps the next CG will, we are always asking.
