One thing to remember when gutting hogs and bears, I've found more arrow broadheads still stuck in the ribs when gutting them than any other animal.
I usally don't run my hand blindly down the chest cavity until I get the guts out and can see what's in there. I got nicked once by a broadhead in a bear the opened my hand up real nice. A few times I've sat back to rest or was watching someone gut a hog and looked over and there is the tip of a bullet or broadhead sticking out of somewhere.
