Today I talked to Turner's and they are not 100% sure about setting up a vending both but they are about 90% in.
I thought Turner's was a committed sponsor of this event?

Who is Fox ammo? I've never heard of them before, are they a new company?

We need a Volunteer to run the shooting compaction?[/b]
Confused?!?! What is this?? I'm assuming you mean competition? What sort of competition is taking place? I thought it was just shotgun patterning.

They are as a sponsor, But not as a vender.
The guy how gave the ok for sponsoring the advent has not told anyone ells about it, so way I had the purchasing guy on the phone for hunting products I asked him if he would be hast the SOCAL Waterfowl day.
He did not know about it so, after talking for a bit he starts talking about setting up a venders both to sell there product as well.

Maybe we need a shorter ramp and can use the natural terrain. There is one or two peninsula's that would help for judging.  Calfowler
Look at what they call the T-Pond's. Dykes are high and water is deep enough for what you need. My dog alway's gets air when training on these pond's you might not even need a ramp.

I have not been following this thread for a while. I had read some of it early on but thought is was being canceled until next year due to time constraints?

Anyhow, I might be available to help out. Possibly the kids booth or the shooting events. I will have my 10 year old son with me so I would have to keep an eye on him as well. Jesse, shoot me an email with your phone number and we can talk..........
<

I will talk with 5standJake as well and see if he is available to ride out with me.

Couple questions/observations:

Dog launch contest – is it clear in the advertising that people need to bring their dogs for this? Because to me - it doesn’t.

Same with the shotgun patterning – I guess folks would need to bring their guns for this, right?

K, major change coming. For the good.

Chad at the Prado Olympic shooting range has offered to let us run most of the events there. Bulldog will get the flyer changed so it shows the new location. Shooting range is right across the street from the Prado Dog Park.

There will be no admission charged at the shooting range where all the events will take place except for the dog water work which is tentatively set for the dog park. You will only pay $6.50 if you want to shoot the skeet at the range, entry for the events, seminars, calling contest etc is free.

Chad has power, a building with a swamp cooler, a P.A. System, more restrooms and lots of room. We will still have the dog and water events at Prado Dog Park unless Chad can get his pond ready in time. You still will be able to camp at Prado Dog park across the street too if you want for $10.

Once again, we're shifting the event location to the Prado Olympic Shooting Range across the street from the dog park.

Sorry for the change but this will draw more people since it's FREE!!! Plus without power and a P.A. at the dog place it was a major hurdle. Venders can set up Saturday afternoon/night for the Sunday event. Chad has a soda and food vender already but we can still use other food venders too.

More info on the Prado Shooting range here http://www.shootprado.com/facilities.asp

As for a any dog training, do we have anyone yet? SOmeone mentioned Applewood dogs? Are they onboard yet? Any others?

JHO will have some Primos, Winglock, JJ Lares, Lohman, Big River, Iverson and Watkins waterfowl and quail calls at the show. We'll also have Featherflex dekes, Final Approach blinds if they get here in time, deke bags, gun cases, anchor line and weights etc. for everyone to look at. We'll also have a couple quads with the new Mad Dog accessories on them. Mad Dog bought IPI which was the leader in the ATV acccessory market.

We'll try and have some Dogtra and Tritronics items to sell and show like the E-collars and pet vests. If someone wants to help out with the dog items I'm not that hip on how to use the E-collars since I don't have a dog now.

We'll also have some spinners from MOJO for the unwashed masses who dare to use them.
<
<

More stuff like MAd Dog waders and underwader wear, slip on and grind to fit recoil pads from Sims, slings from Quake and Kolpin, blind bags from Final Approach and Mad Dog, Mad Dog fleece, Thermacell insect repellent units, shell belts from Kolpin and MAd Dog, lanyards from Kolpin, Reese Outdoors, waterfowl videos, Badlands packs and hydration, Crooked Horn packs, Mad Dog packs, Ameristep blinds and stools, Double Bull blinds, Weber Camo Leather wallets, money clips, lingerie and checkbooks, E.A.R. and Pro Ears hearing protection, SnakeGuardz and Turtleskin snake chaps and gaiters, Pelican flashlights, locks and cases, Gerber, Buck, SOG and Kershaw knives and multi tools, Western Bird newsletters, CA Buck and CA Hog newsletters, first aid kits, Sawyer insect repellent, Coulstons insect repellent.

Yes if you would that would be grate, the more we have there the better.

I do not know if it matters, but I started a new thread SOCAL Waterfowl Day.
I was thinking if we have people come to JHO and look up the post they could get lost if they didn’t read the whole thing????
