SoCal Waterfowl Day
Sunday, September 25th, 2005
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Prado Olympic Shooting Park
17501 Euclid Ave.
Chino CA 91710
909-597-4794

Come and join for this FREE event. Vendors are welcome to exhibit their products and services at no cost. Outdoor enthusiasts are invited to view all the products and services available for this year’s waterfowl season with no admission cost.

In addition, we will be offering a complimentary raffle to all attendees. All items are being donated by attending and non-attending vendors. All donations are greatly appreciated and products/services will be given a brief demo/advertisement at the time of their raffling.

We hope that by offering this show to the waterfowl business community and offering free admission to the public, it will help create awareness of your products and services. The show will have duck calling seminars/demos, dog training seminars/demos, skeet shooting, shotgun pattern, waterfowl identification and much more. But in order to be a success, we need representation from all of the waterfowl community. Don’t miss out on this free advertising opportunity to market your products and services to your direct target market just before their prime season.

As an added attraction, we are offering a waterfowl swap meet for both vendors and attendees. All are encouraged to bring any waterfowl related product that is just sitting around not getting used and sell it at the waterfowl swap meet. Please note that all products must be related to bird hunting.

Venders will be allowed to set up the day before, on the 24th. Vendors/Volunteers will also be able to spend the night in their RV’s/trailers/tents at no cost, next to their booths. Electrical is available at a nominal cost with arrangements in advance. We will have a pot-luck BBQ that night to go over plans for the next day, all vendors and volunteers are encouraged to attend.

With the early interest and planned activities, we expect this show to be a great success. Therefore, to show our appreciation to all vendors for this first annual show, you will be given preferred status for next year’s event.

For vendor information, you can call or e-mail me at 714-402-3990 or outdoorplay@verizon.net. To send product or marketing information, please send to 29433 Tours Street, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.

Best Regards,
Michael Dickerson

Matthews sent out a press release also. The duck carver that used to live next to him is MIA. He's working on finding the guy since he moved to Yucaipa. If anyone knows the guy speak up.

Mike, we'll need power at our booth.

If someone wants to tow their john boat in so we can set up a static display we'll treat you nice with some gear for the effort. We've got two trailers already of gear so I'm out of horsepower to tow my boat & trailer.

I let Janet know at Prado Dog Park that we moved the event over the the Shooting Range. She was not happy. I guess she was looking forward to all those paid $12 entries. Hey, I asked her if she would come down in price from the get go and she wouldn't budge.

Still looking for volunteers in the places below

I've got an 12x12 EZ-Up that I'll bring. I won't be there until Sunday morning though.

Jesse or ODP, do you have a timeline of events for the day?

Thanks... ODP!

Don't forget to bring your scattergun!!!!

Great deal on the Trap Competition...

$12 (per person) guarantees you and your team-mate twice to the trap line (more so if you advance). Signing up will also get you a T-shirt. A safety seminar and a basic lesson to trap.

Classes:

Open / Adult and child (16 & under) / Co-ed

Mainly focused on beginners and intermediate shooters. Someone has to step up to running the skeet competition for the advance guys... anyone?

Please let me know if you are interested or going to compete in this competition. That way I can get an ideal of what time schedule I am looking at. If you are going to sign up let me know, that way I can already reserve a shirt (size please?).

Anyone with a young one can borrow my single shot break (hammerless) 20 gauge or 20 gauge auto.

Also they rent out guns and sell ammo over there.

Email me if you have any questions or need a copy of the rules:

Thanks EL Caz...

I have a camo "Got Dove?" shirt for you (2XL or?)... unless you want one of the ones that say "Got Duck?" or "Got Goose?"

See me at the SCWD.

I don't think I want to set-up a booth just for shirts... I'll have a table though next to the trap sign-ups.

If any one knows Steve the dog trainer please call him and have him call me please, I need to know how much time he needs for the Dog training/demo seminar and how much space he will need.

We do not have a set time line, for seminars. We will be there all day, I was talking with Bulldog and we do not know how much time some of the seminars are going to take. So for a start I think this will work out the best.

The show starts at 9 am.
After talking with Bulldog, we would like for the Trap Competition to start with the How Too seminar at 10am.
I think if we run the competition for 45 min. to an hour.
Then take a brake form shooting and have a seminar, after seminar is over then back to competition. Shot for one hour and then the next seminar and just follow that sequel entail we are done.

If any one has a better or different idea Please speak up, I know it would be better to say we are having the????? Seminar at ???? o’clock. But know one has told me how long their seminar will take. So I can not make a time line with out all of the info.
buy shooting for an hour then stopping for a seminar will give us more freedom to move things around if we need to

Duck callers/dog trainers/ decoy/ how too, I need to hear form you,
Would like to work on a game plane before Saturday night. I don’t want this to be a free for all, would like to have a little game plan before Saturday night. Also we can throw some ideals around.

Ok, anyone with something to input? nows is a good time to speak up, the only bad idea is the one you did not share.

Mike, your boat would be great.

Jim MAtthews just got the flyers emailed to Turner's but they didn't have them out last night at the San BErnardino store. The manager was clueless about the event. If anyone lives near a Turners please drop them some flyers. Have them call Jim Matthews, their Sales/Marketing person if they have any questions.

Thanks

I would like to clear some things up, I have had a few people call and e-mail me and they seem to think it is still at the DOG PARK, so just so every one knows it is across the street at:
Prado Olympic Shooting Park
17501 Euclid Ave.
Chino CA 91710

I know flyers might say something about the Dog park, but because the owner of the dog park was not willing to let us go for free or at less a discount.....
(No he wanted $12 for every guy that came on his property)
So we moved it right across the street to Prado Olympic Shooting Park, it has been our goal to keep this show FREE for every one and he wasn’t even willing to give a discount,,,, he just wanted his $12. We felt that it was more important to keep it free for the public to help get new hunters out, the owner of the Prado Olympic Shooting Park saw the value this show would bring to his business and he is letting us put it on at no coast to the public. So if you have a flyer it is no longer $12, it is Free.

Bring your shot gun for some trap or skeet.
Also we are having an area that is set up for pattering your shot gun, Turner’s will have different types of shot, so we can test our guns to find the best shot for your guns and the differences between the shot patterns. This is one of the most important things in shot gunning

The address to the show is:

Prado Olympic Shooting Park
17501 Euclid Ave.
Chino CA 91710

If you have any more questions fill free to call.

Now that's funny, I don't care who you are, that's just funny.

Since they only stock a couple of brands of shells in a few different sizes the patterning shouldn't take very long.
