State's Hunting, Fishing, and Conservation Shows Available 24/7 on Internet TV Network
9/13/07
September 12, 2007 (Nashville) - The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) is partnering with MyOutdoorTV.com to offer the Outdoor Alabama television series to a broader audience. Outdoor Alabama will now be streamed through MyOutdoorTV.com, the world's largest internet video portal for outdoor television shows, radio, video, and conservation information.
Based in Nashville, MyOutdoorTV.com is a powerful new forum developed to promote hunting, fishing, wildlife watching, and natural resource opportunities across the country. ADCNR joins MyOutdoorTV.com in its launch of a special section within the site called "State Explorer ," which provides video from various states and links to each state wildlife agency. The section includes weekly programming, educational videos, safety instruction, wildlife and waterways law enforcement information, and other useful materials. Hunters, anglers, and boaters can even purchase licenses through MyOutdoorTV.com.
Shows and materials provided by ADCNR will also be included and available for search on the home page of MyOutdoorTV.com by species, activity, location, or other keyword, so search results will include Outdoor Alabama shows. The new affiliation with MyOutdoorTV.com will allow on-demand, 24/7 viewing worldwide by anyone with a high-speed internet connection. Viewing is always free with no registration required.
"Although Outdoor Alabama is no longer in production, we're pleased that a new audience will be able to see these shows through MyOutdoorTV.com," said Alabama Conservation Commissioner Barnett Lawley. "We think it's a great opportunity."
Governor Bob Riley agrees. "Partnerships like this one help further the goals of state government but don't cost the state any more money," he said.
MyOutdoorTV.com will include Alabama's affiliation in marketing activities for the site, including TV, radio, print, and online advertising and promotions. The agency will provide coverage of the partnership in its Outdoor Alabama magazine.
"Alabama has a bounty of natural resources, and we're pleased to be able to extend the reach of their show to our audience," said Chris Moise, CEO. "We congratulate Alabama on their progressive Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for being one of the first state agencies to sign on with MyOutdoorTV.com."
MyOutdoorTV.com is the world's largest internet portal for outdoor TV programming, currently streaming over 100 shows on the shooting sports, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities. In addition, it hosts radio shows, outdoor videos, the new "State Explorer" section, MyOutdoorWiki, and sections for outfitters, destinations, cooking, outdoor news, and much more.
