Hey guys, I picked up my pig yesterday at Phills Custom Meats. It looks like they did a great job on all the cuts and the sausage. They let me get three different types, Maple/Sweet Italian/Hot Italian without charging me extra. The total cost was $70.00 for the pig and an extra $10.00 for the disposal of the carcas making it a total of $80.00. The pig weighed 94lbs. on the hook dressed. Anyone have any idea what he might have weighed on the hoof??? Anyways thanks for all the help guys and maybe we can get some of the locals around us together for a BBQ before it starts getting cold.

Superduty,

Glad to hear you got your hog back, they do a nice job there at Phil's. Hope you guys enjoy the cuts, drop us a line if you are going to have that BBQ.

Hard to tell the weight of these things. They always look big just after they are dead. 94lbs. on the hook is pretty big, I would guess from the pics somewhere in the 165-175 range.

Congrats again,

Jason

According to Kyler at Boaring Ex. You lose 50 % to 60% of weight from hoof to locker. he did a study back when he was still in College.
