The key will be turned and the last locked gate will be sprung open Friday morning for summer###in the Lake Tahoe Basin. State park rangers will open the gate at D.L. Bliss State Park, the world-class park on Emerald Bay that features the Rubicon Trail, the easy walk with sweeping views of lake Tahoe. At the same time, the Forest Service will open the gate for the road from Kaspian Campground, located near Homewood on Tahoe’s west shore.
