I was glad to hear the management hunts were back up. That is until I hear this? 80 people per side is too many in my opinion. Someone is going to get hurt! Too bad, I would be ok paying 500
bucks to hunt the weekend at Tejon. Not gonna do it with 80 other hunters!

RT Airfare to Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas from LAX (1 STOP)..........................$355.
Hotel (comparable to Comfort Inn w/ free breakfast)........................$89./night.
Rental car....................................................................................$50/wk.

Blasting all the pigs you want with the support of a grateful society....PRICELESS!

Love it :)

Well, I guess no one knows the cost per individual in a group hunt? I can tell you this much, for $1,200 I want to hunt till I get one.

Glad to see that the Pig O Rama is back. If you really think the cost is to expense try doing a hunt on public land. I would go on several weekends hunts and it all adds up on the cost. Save a little and hunt Tejon ranch. If you don't mind walking you will get a pig. Hunting is just not cheep anymore. I have been hunting ever since they had started the pig o Rama. Some great times spent with family and friends. I would never go with a guide. I did it one time and did not have a very good time. I like doing it my own way. Looking forward to hunt those hairy black pigs. It is always fun.

Uhhh, just have to say that once you hit the coastal vineyards and continue on up north there are plenty of swine to be found as far as Redding only the south is tough for hogs.

Hey JHOs, I think Share is conducting a draw for Tejon, like that of the Bobcat Ranch draws. I bought two draw dates for $20.00 somethin. Now thats more like it. Check it out on DFG.ca.gov. Its in the online license purchase portion. Good Luck!

JEB is a fun hunt but you are basically depredation hunting. You want keep the hog you killed, you either take it home whole, or skin them on the ground in the field. No tree in the wheat and corn field to hang it. No lodging, no camp, and I believe the price of the hunt is only offered during the hot summer months. The heat is miserable even at 3am. You will sweat like hell. But sure the adrenaline will overcome everything until after you pulled the trigger.

Its nothing to skinning and boning out a pig.
Put the boned meat in cooler with dry ice and your good to go

I did hunt the opener Dec 7-9 and it was a pretty tough hunt! Me and my son both got pigs but it wasn't what we thought it was going to be. Only 20 pigs were checked in on the south side, not sure of how many were taken on the North side? There is still alot of hunting taking place so the pigs were very nocturnal.

It wasn't a slam dunk, but certainly wasn't a tough hunt... :) Biggest thing is that it is so short... And weather is what it is. I really don't see why you have to wait till noon on Friday and have to quit at noon on Sunday.. Why not legal hunting hours all three days for the fee? Have the check in before sunrise Friday...???

I hunted tejon ranch pig-o-rama a number of times back when it was only $300. It was a good hunt, but to me, the biggest issue is their no rain check policy. Maybe they have changed something, but when i did the hunts it went like this: you paid your money in advance for a specific pig-o-rama weekend hunt. If it rained like hell that weekend and you couldn't hunt, tough ****. They kept your money anyway. In fact, if you've ever been there, you know it doesn't even take real heavy rain to make all but the few gravel roads there totally impassable to trucks (and they don't allow ATVs). If me and my son were to plunk down $1000 today for a pig-o-rama and then not be able to really hunt due to weather, I'd be taking home one of their beef cows instead.

Anyone know how much the Spring Memberships are gonna be for this year? They don't have it listed on the website.

That's why it's called hunting.....I'm up there almost every Friday and last week was crazy muddy did a complete 360 in my 12,000lb mega cab on the road by the eucalyptus gate!!!!!
But once past that mess t wasn't bad ... And yesterday I was driving in 1ft of snow on the top. Get as high as you can and start hiking,,, that's when u really see the pigs anyways...slow down and glass.took along time to teach myself that.....I'll post pics of yesterday in a bit

The feral cow hunts at Tejon are forked horn or better! Everything I have seen in Tx is from a stand over a feeder or from a helicopter with RPG's! Nothing beats spot and stalk hunts in CA. Compare a $500 2 day access fee on 270k+ acres to a $3000 14 day deer access in the midwest, Tejon sounds nice.
