Rain, rain and more rain. Haven't been out hunting at all. It has finally blown out and it should be good hunting tonight provided the wind dies down.

Saturday I did pull a camera and got some pictures developed. Here are a couple.

So far I have confirmed there are three bucks running around that are 7 points or better.

In looking at the 8 pts, we are counting all points on the rack? The entire rack? In calif, I think they had to be up the beam at least 3" or so to call it a point, anything below that was considered a brow tine I guess. Im very new to whaitetail hunting, and the way they are counted. Can ya fill me in without making me feel like more of an idiot than I am

Yeah, it seems to be different in how you count depending on where you are from. Western count is by each side 4x4 etc. Eastern US is basically all the points. Now the defination of a point can vary. I think it usually considered a point if you can hang a ring on it.

If you really want to get confused here in PA we have started antler restrictions. Has to be 3pts on a side miniumum but here's the game commission definition of that
"A point is defined as "an antler projection of at least one inch in length from base to tip. The brow tine and main beam tip shall be counted as points, regardless of length."

Good Luck,
Todd
