TWO NEW QUAIL UNLIMITED CHAPTERS: Two new chapters of Quail Unlimited are hatching this year, both with goals of helping improve upland bird habitat in Western San Bernardino County.
The Mountain Communities QU will have a formation meeting 7 p.m., March 25, at the Jackson Federal Bank in Blue Jay. The group will be actively involved in repairing and maintaining guzzlers and water sources in the San Bernardino Mountains and West Mojave. The High Desert QU is setting up its first banquet for the Apple Valley-Victorville area, and it will also be working on guzzlers in the West Mojave. For more information, contact Richard Persohn at (760) 242-2389 or via e-mail at rpersohn@aol.com.
