Units D3-5 for deer

From what I can gather, units D3, D4, and D5 are all unrestricted. If you were hunting out of a lodge in Truckee and driving in each morning, which would you pick?

I am somewhat familiar with D3, but not sure about public land. Anyone have a favorite source for public land maps? US Forest Service?

Let's hope I can get up there on some weekends!

D3-5 is one tag you can hunt any of the 3 areas on the same tag!

Very niiiiiiiiiice! Now I've just got to root around for some good maps, and somehow find some time off from grad school.

if your in truckee you can try around the jackson meadows area have done good there with a little help from some weather lots of bears too

DOes anybody know the best place to get maps for this area with public huntable land marked on them? Perhaps someone knows what number USFS map to get or what number NatGeo? Any help is MUCH appreciated.

Also, you can purchase a D3-5 tag past June 2nd, correct?

EDIT: I was hoping to hunt north of Cisco, but is there simply too much private land there?
