Great looking bull. The angle on the pic is interesting.

That's an awesome bull...I hope to see a bull like that within range with a tag in my hands one day...

Awesome bull if it is for real!

The picture looks interesting though. Something looks a little out of place in my opinion. Is it my imagination or does the color of the hide look strange and what about that ear (elks left one)?

The camera most likely had a heavy polarizing filter--those really bring out the blue in the sky. Also, the photographer either a) turned up the color saturation or had a "warming" filter on the camera like a Tiffen 812.

To me the rack looks real. I could care less if it were photoshopped to enhance the pic--I doubt it was faked. There are some monster bulls that come off of the sage country in Utah and it's entirely possible that a 400 class bull like that was harvested this fall here in the Book Cliffs or elsewhere.

Here's a thumbnail of a similarly filtered photo:

You can see the overly blue sky and the similar colors to the hide....heavier in the reds dept.

Hornfinder--did you hear that it is a possible new record or were you assuming that it might be?

Doyle Moss and his crew guided Ron on that bull. He has bought the Utah state wide elk tag a few times. This bull was shot on a general limited entry tag and gross scored 433 and may net 426 making it the new Utah state record.

It has got everything you could ask for in a trophy elk.
