Who cares what Craig thinks, big girl should be shopping for blouses rather than hunting if he can't handle a bit of disappointment :)

:rotflmao:

I don't hunt or fish with whiners. I am not spending my limited quality time with people who can't man up.

He either needs to become a better hunter or get used to going without.

If he shot first. He has no complaint. You both were out hunting. You both had equal rights to shoot first. You gave him first shot. Your only mistake was not to take me with you. I would not have missed. And if I do I make no excuses. Get a new hunting partner.

Here's what happens when I go out alone

Here is my 2nd hog this month. I shot it around 5:30 but didn't have a camera with me so I had to wait until I got home to take a picture of it in my truck. It was probably between 150 and 200 lbs. It had small tusks (about 1 1/4 inches) but the picture doesn't show them well. I had invited my two buddies but they couldn't make it so I had to load this myself. I'm not going to tell Craig because I don't want to make him too jealous. LOL.

That's a healthy, heavy looking, good body mass porky. Must be good eating in the Bar-b-q. Thanks for posting.

boarhunter67,
If you take me.............you can always have the first shot...................no kidding. No pink snuggies either as a pacifier as suggested in post #32 by Switch. I am still chuckling from Switch' sense of humor.

LOL. I wasn't even going up to shoot a pig that day. I was going up because my buddy asked me to come up and shoot some coyotes because they are becoming a problem. I'll have to make it up to him since I showed up and he asked if I was ready to kill some coyotes and I had to tell him no. He was glad though. For some reason ranchers seem to hate pigs. He said a lot of ranchers just shoot them all and leave them.

YIKES! I hate that. Pure and simple, I hunt ONLY with people who have a clear understanding of WHY we go into the woods in the first place. It's easy: we're there for meat. Whoever has a chance first, takes it. Period. Then all hunting stops until the downed animal is properly dressed and preserved. If anyone shows even the slightest bit of selfishness or greed I simply never invite them again. Done.

The good Lord is bountiful but only when you respect and share that bounty. Start hording and all kinds of crappy things start to happen to your 'luck'. Sounds like your 'friend's' look has just expired.

some of you guys owe me a new cup of coffee! i laughed and snotted up my brandnew cup!!! hahahahhahah!!!!

i admit, i have been jealous of some of my successful friends. i hang with a deadly group of guys. my jealously, i keep positive. i use it to motivate me to keep going. easy to get down, and quit. no thanks.

a good buddy offered me first shot at potentially my first ever, huge california buck. it was at 53 yards. as a new bowhunter, that was kissing my comfort zone....he still offered to let me stalk closer. as a rookie, i decided to go around. (in hindsight, i should have crawled straight to it...high grass) i got relatively close, watched the deer stand up..get ready to bolt...i hear the G5 montec whistle in...the buck dropped! i was so happy for my friend. jealous yes, happy...super happy. i love hunting with a friend. doubles my celebration chances.

Update:
Jim has taken Craig out three more times and each time Craig took a shot and missed. I finally convinced Jim that he needs to be the next one to shoot. If it was really about "taking turns" then Craig would have let Jim have a shot.

Great attitude. Just how me and my buddies look at things.

Sounds like Craig thinks that his "turn" means you all have to wait till he kills something, even if it takes till next summer. I can't believe he has been taken out 3 more times, I am all for second chances but that is getting unfunny now.

That is exactly what I was just going to say about craigs idea of "taking turns". It's his turn til he gets a kill

Yeah..............it would just be getting too much under my craw to have such unqualified person getting the first shot AFTER the next first shot AFTER the next first shot and still miss. After that "big boy" missed the first time then I would just take the next opportunity and kill the hog myself. Sure....nice to give plenty of room for a friend who has not gotten a hog yet.........but after he missed the first shot...........then he has used up all his "first in line" position and then it is any man with the opportunity who takes a shot. That is just the way it is......take it or leave it. You only get one chance at being first in line.

Ok so you says you let him get away with acting like a little fag ?

Man if he was my friend and missed a shot, and then tryed to blame me, lol, dude he would have opened a can of relentless and ruthless rath from me. First thing I would be telling him is to reach between his legs, then I would say what to you feel ? Because if you feel a set of nuts, act like you own them, and Man Up, but if he didn't feel anything he needs to try and remember to try and get them back from his old ladys purse before he leaves the house to hang out with the boys. Freeking whinie a$$ little "P" then I would tell him don't worry about me hunting with you, but if he ever decided to hunt with me again he better grow up, grow a new set that can't be removed, and act like a Man.
