Everything is still the same. Going to be fun hunt for sure, looking forward to it.

The plan is to meet at the visitors center at 11:30am, anyone think they may be late?

I don't know what time I'll be there, but I'm leaving home at 4:30am. I'm not sure where the visitors center is, so that's why I'm leaving early to give room for mistakes.

559hog,
Take the Dry Creek Rd. out of Healdsburg, head west and it will take you right to it. It's actually pretty easy. I plan on leaving around 7:30am from Stockton, should put me there about 10:30 - 11:00am or so.

Thanks, sounds easy enough :).

Is it possible to switch from bow hunting one day to handgun the next?
I understand it wouldn't be appropriate to switch in the middle of the day since we will be split in different areas to keep it quiet for us bowhunters.

I don't mean to be difficult, I just can' help it

muddy_udders,
I don't really see a problem with it, you may just have to deal with the rifle hunters. You can ask George about it when are getting things worked out.

Ok guys, here's the deal on the wood. The guy told George it would be about $100 for the wood, which would be about $10 each. It will be delivered to the camp site on Friday so it's there before we need it Friday night. George said it gets cold down at the camp, so $10 each is worth it to me.

I would definitely give yourself enough time just in case you run into some traffic, 4:30am may be a little early. If you get to Healdsburg early, you can always have an early lunch. I'm leaving at 7:30am, and I'm about 2.5 - 3 hours to the lake if all goes good. I'll grab a burger then head to the lake and just kick back a while.

559hog, mapquest is coming up with a little over 4hrs from Fresno to Healdsburg, add about 20 minutes or so to the lake. Don't know what the traffic is like heading north at that time of the morning, but I'm sure you'll hit some going through the bay area.

Anybody going to Hunt LS friday Morning, I plan on getting out there for few. I should put a hitch on my jeep to tow the boat behind it, what a mess that would be, towing a jeep and boat.

looking forward to this.

i have two pigs tags, but i will sit out the early hunt at LS. to be really hardcore, camp out near a piggie highway, hunt at first light, and then hike out to meet up with everyone. get the "hunting grime".....no..."hunting patina" started early. heheh.

i just got back from a successful turkey hunt. my gear is scattered throughout the house. no way, i can leave it there until friday. i am exhausted, but the hunting love will come back by tomorrow. pig mode. i need more broadheads. the tall grass swallowed my arrows. MIA.

I plan on being there before Sunrise, going to pick up my dad around 3am in Concord. Hopefully I can be at the check station before 6am, sunrise is 6:50. Going to No Name and hunt before the Hikers show up. No boat this time so I will be limited.
