Anybody know which WY areas have leftover speed goat tags they're selling in sporting goods stores?

They sell them in both buck & doe, correct?

Look on the Fish and game site. They will have lists of the leftover tags. For does and Buck and whitch stores are selling them.

I may be mistaken but I think the buck tags need to be purchased at a regional office of F&G.

I am not trying to start a huge discussion here but I still don't understand why you guys enjoy shooting doe/fawn antelope. I understand that for some guys seeing or hunting antelope is a rare experience but if you must at least don't buy 7 extra tags, just becasue you see them doesn't mean you have to shoot them ALL. I am by no means a tree hugger but have a little respect.

The WY state biologists I've spoken with encourage doe harvest. I use all the meat, too.

I totally agree. The state biologist has a mandate to to keep the herds in check for proper management and over population. The meat is great tasting I harvested my buck and took a nice mature doe. Althought I would not take a fawn. The Antelope in Area 23 seems have one of the largest herds. Hunters and fishermen or women are the Fish & wild life management tools.

Where I hunt, the things are a nusiance and the landowner is happy to see them gone. Talk to a biologist up there and he'll give you plenty of reasons to hunt does. It's not hurting the population and keeps the winter kill in check a bit, so you tell us.....why NOT hunt does.....

In my personal opinion they're smarter than the bucks and more of a challenge to hunt anyways.

Of course the ranchers love to see them shot, they eat on the range just as the cows do, thus being a threat to their livleyhood. I am not against proper management for the good of the herd but I am a land owner and have seen the antelope numbers go from great to none over the last 15 years. Am I a little ticked off you better believe it!! Excessive killing of the female populations will have a negative impact on their numbers. If you don't believe that then you are out of your mind. Don't get me wrong as a resident of Wyoming we are happy to have other hunters visit our state. Just don't see the need to shoot everyone you see, be picky and let the little ones go, shoot something to be proud of.

dude, as said earlier in your post"not to start anything'"but sounds as though your barking up the wrong tree bro, you may want to take this up with your fish and game department, cause i can pretty much assure you as long as your state is selling the antlerless tags,
they will continue to be hammerd buy nonresidents and residents a like , just keeping it real bro, i,ll be there next week for a bull/buck combo, god bless wyoming
