You know after a few years of camping out in the rain and mud you get soft and build a cabin. Here's BigOleWiggler's cabin. He'll give you the details. Nice work Wiggler.

Back in the old days we slept in tents in the mud and rain. We get older and soft and then we build a cabin. Great job on the cabin BigoleWiggler. Can you tell us about all the comforts there?

The "Speed Goat " ;)  was taken in the Lassen buck hunt .I located a few isolated herds up high between Old Station and Susanville, gorgious country !
Big Bodied goat he was,  horns measured somewhere between 13 an 14 inches. Great Table Fare !!! Looks nice on the wall too.

Now to the metal deer shack.  Well you can see my wife added a few touches to it , curtains mirror etc.

The list of ammenities sink  w/ running spring water, wood burnin stove to keep the buns warm. Upper bunk for the yunguns, a bed below for me and the mrs. Dinner table. It now sports a front wooden deck.
Out back we put in up a home-made solar panel and shower  set up so the  mrs.  will let me sleep inside . ( I promised I'd shower once a week whether I needed it or not.)  ;)

More than anything this place gives me a legitimate excuse to get out of town.

Wish I were there now!!!!!

Will be there after 4th of july ,  cant wait.

Yeah spectr , I used to think  I was tough as boot leather  ,but  that warm dry bed sure feels good against my hide as I approach 40 yrs old..

Boy I can sure remember a few hunts when the rain turned to snow during the night , waking up before sunrise , crawling out of the tent and tryin to cram my feet into a set of frozen boots.

Lookin back though I wouldnt change a thing , they are some of the best sort of memories I have . Hope to make a few more of them.

Best to you all this coming season.....
