goodluck to you take good boot also
dang it! another item to put on my wish list. i dont use my gps all to often i normally just mark the truck and throw the gps in the pack. but i really like the map with the boundaries all labeled like thatWe used the parking lot to go in. We got there about shooting time and there was about 4 other cars parked there so these people new the area and were there at sun up.It was 2 hours of hiking in from the parking lot. About the gps its a Oregon 450 Garmin but i bought the california chip for it. cabelas sells it. it cost $100 and the chip fits garmin units that are capable of the chip. Its well worth the money i found lots of blm land here in cali. already with it.
Been so busy at work havent been out since my last post. ISM415 if your still reading this its a Marlin 45/70 Guide gun with a Leupold 2.5 scout scope.
I wonder if it was live2hunt quartering the hog, like he normally does out there.
People park there and yes there is an actual parking lot
It will close down once Quail season ends at the end of this month.
Thanks for the information. Just took a look at DFG's site and did not see mention of a closure. I've never been there before (heading out Saturday) - I'm guessing the upper area is better for quail than the lower? I'd like to put a few partridge in the crock pot this season (been having dismal luck getting out, and the weather hasn't helped much either).
