Yikes, that's a monster. If I had known all it takes to get pigs is a trash can, I would have saved on the Ruger 30-06 and bought a few Rubbermaids

Do you long board or short board? I'll assume the first.Chanterelles are by far the best eating mushroom in the forest. Amazing on a venison loin. Just blasted a turkey up at Lopez last weekend and do a bit of spearfishing each week. Give me a ring and we'll talk. I know a few secret things to do in the area that are fun. I'll send my number to your hotmail acct.

Yeah! Sure do! I do a bit of both depending on the mood. I shortboarded Zuma today and will probably bring a shortboard out to the islands on Fri. (Moore Meadows)Where is that? it looks like the pier at gaviota. I mostly surfed left spot and a bit at the south jetty. North of Cuyucas was always an adventure. I still have a few boards hanging up in CCS. Check out my tandem american flag board from the sixties and the dark blue Velzy pig. A few from the collection. Catch you soon.

It's La Jolla Shores. Have a good time out on the islands, you doing any hunting when you're out there? I love left spot, wave gets ridicuously good. I try to surf north of the rock whenever possible, anywhere from the rock to san carpoforo. but end up surfing pismo a lot because it's like a mile and a half from my house. Guadalupe gets really good too.

We will be spearfishing and targeting white seabass. You know who hunts like a mad man? Pancho! Rap out with him next time you are in the shop. I always liked that crappy little left called Sewers when in the pismo region. Fire me an email with your contact info. I had sent one to your hotmail acct.

I don't care if y'all are sick of this thread, or not. This is the first I got to read it, and I always like to hear about CR.

Last time we went to CR the boys and I heard someone take momma by the river, as we came up on some piglets. We were trying to get the group of about 20 babies to lead us to the rest of thier older siblings, but they were so lost. We could have scooped them up, and the boys really wanted to take some home too! (alive I mean) I guess we could have tagged a couple, but for me, it's the same thing as quail. Nothing wrong with quail, but I'd rather hold out for a turkey. We ended up hearding them into some heavy brush, known to hold pigs, hoped they'd find a sow to hang on before getting munched, and headed home. Could be some of those were taken at 80lbs this time.

We'll be there at the end of the month, with pork on the brain. Good luck to all!

Blastmaster,

You should have scooped them all and planted them in San Bernardino mountains. Saves us the trip up north -- and lots of gas money.

Oops! DFG's big brother maybe watching and listening.

4 lb piggies ain't nuttin to get heat rash over. They are considered pests remember.

We once got drawn for a depredation bowhunt at Knob Knoster SP in MO., The deer were eating the place down and the deer were about 40 lbs from being stunted from years of little food and high birthrates. The yearlings were maybe 20 lbs if that. They looked like roe deer from Europe they were so small.

We walked out with the deer slung over our shoulders like turkeys.

The ugly part was MDC had us camped with the general public in the SP campground and with many of us gutting the little bambies in camp for all to see and the over the shoulders stuff the greenies cried foul. Talk about walking a gauntlet to get back to camp. There were several confrontations and I know one bowman who offered to gut the next greenie for free who blocked his path to his camp.

Next year MDC made sure us ugly bowhunters were hidden from view.

Pigs are rooting, digging, plowing, snooting, scooping, chomping, mowing pests. They are good eating that is why they are eagerly hunted and harvested. But they are pests. 'Nuff said.
