Ever find any antelope sheaths?

I always look when in antelope territory but have never found any. Is there a better place than others to look? Deer lose antlers a lot when they jump ditches or fences.
When do the sheaths come off?

My dad and I have picked up 50-60 antelope sheaths throughout the years. The biggest of the sheaths we've found scored 43 (86 if doubled). The horns should be shed or shedding by now most everywhere. At least in Arizona. We find most of the sheds near waterholes and in ravines. Don't know why. Waterholes - maybe it's because after the rut the bucks are dehydrated and thirsty for a while and frequent them. Ravines - maybe it's because the rains wash them to the lowest spot on the prairie. Also, if you're looking specifically for antelope sheds, do it where you know there are lots and lots of antelope in just a small slice of country. This should be obvious, but you never know what some people are thinking.

In all the years I hunted Pronghorn, outfitted and guided Pronghorn hunters and scouted, I've only found a few. Never in pairs, only a few singles.

What does it look like right after the sheath comes off? Does it look like a big toenail up there or what?
