Heading to Wyoming at the end of October with my fahter-in-law in area 32. Does anybody know anything about that area? Have the last 4 1/2 days of the season to hunt there .

My family ownes a bunch of land in 32, this WAS a great goat unit years ago but the game and fish really F#$*ed it up the last few years, now it is pretty damn hard to find antelope more less a reasonable buck. Not trying to throw shit but, I have seen numerous out-of-state hunters purchase several doe/fawn tags and it has really taken a hit on the numbers. I understand that antelope hunting is a rare treat for a bunch of people but that doesn't justify shooting every thing you see. Sorry to rain on your trip, I honestly can't point you in a good direction, the huge management unitl will get hammered the first week so I would try and find some private lands. I don't even hunt on my own land any more, how sad is that!

What are the biggest towns in 32; I'm not familiar with it.

Unit 32 is just South of Casper. AND WOW........................I guess after reading the first reply I am not going to be looking at such a good time. Well at least the drive is only 16 hours.

Don't blame "out-of-staters", blame your money hungry state. By the way, I watched two pickup loads of local Wyoming folk chase down antelope and shoot them. When I reported it to the game warden he replied that the locals complain about the "out-of -staters" and it is the locals that he cites more than anybody.

Anyways, my post was just suppose to draw out any useful information about that Area. No secret spots, honey holes etc. It has nothing to do with out of staters or locals. We are all hunters no matter which state we happen to be born in. As for me, I just want to use the ONE tag that I have. I am not looking to deplete any population and I am pretty sure most hunters feel the way I do, regardless of their residence.

Here are some pictures of this year's trip to area 32. None of our group had been to the area prior to this trip. As you can see, we filled our tags: took less than 24 hours.

Deerseeker,

Nice goats for suire... especially if you knew nothing of the area. Did you go private land or public? I'm hoping to take my son and daughter on a hunt next year in that area. Thanks

They were taken public DIY type hunt. I did print out the private land access permission slip before going out. Not knowing what to expect of the area, we were not too selective. Fun hunt.
