Friend helping a friend
Tom Stickel, president of TCS and chairman of the California Chamber of Commerce, said his good friend former San Diego police chief Jerry Sanders, needed a break from "all the Red Cross work he's been doing." So Stickel took him pheasant hunting Friday morning on Don Brock's farm west of El Centro.
Stickel said they bagged two pheasants by 9 a.m. Stickel steered Sanders, who these days heads an interim Red Cross advisory panel, to an estimated 47-pound white seabass back in July when the two fished from Stickel's boat off Imperial Beach.
