Ideas sought for fine funds

Redding Record Searchlight
Shasta County has about $35,000 available in the fish and wildlife propagation fund, raised from various fines levied in the county, and is seeking applicants that would like to use the funds for eligible projects under Section 13103 of the Fish and Game Code.
Projects include public education relating to fish and wildlife conservation, temporary emergency care of infant or wounded wildlife, breeding, raising, purchasing or releasing fish or wildlife upon approval of Fish and Game, improvement of fish and wildlife habitat, construction, maintenance and operation of public fish hatcheries, predator control, research conducted of high learning institutions and contributions to Secret Witness programs to enforce the code.
