if you do get sideways just leaver there, a few Fords will be by before too long to tow her out of there.

Hopefully the weather holds for ya'll, it rained buckets this weekend and early week, but ya'll will have fun no matter. Of the parts of that ranch I have seen I think the archery area is the best place to be during the rain, especially if you are allergic to chaining up, but still enough mud to get hairy if you want to.

Good info, Bearclaw...thanks.

I've been told that the archery area really doesn't have too much of the tricky stuff. Been there, done that at Tejon already.

And by the way, last time I got that thing sideways a Ford couldn't do anything about it until we chained the Ford to a Jeep... then between the two of them we got it all settled out.

It is all thet canyon, cept a couple areas named after Indian tribes, so if you are going up more than an ant hill, and it ain't Cherokee or Commanchee something or another, ya done got off the reservation.

Ya'll will have a blast, the beds and food really makes that setup nice, I still loved camping in a whiteout last March, however in June I really enjoyed being able to hunt till after last night and not worry about how or what we were going to eat, and getting dry to go to sleep, to get up balls early.

Also makes it easy to drink a frew o dem dere adulto beveragos, but ya still need to be able to drag One Track out of the bed to hit them hills the next day, and One Track needs to keep hittin them hills cause you try and hunt everywhere once, vice the area you know every time, and then miss a 21 yard shot at a dumptruck with a snout and long tail, oh well, she's fatter now so I get more meat when I go back.

Make sure you bring chains and a winch speck!

Chance of showers on Friday, showers Saturday and Sunday. Chances of precip 30, 50 60 on Fri-Sun. Could be worse I suppose. Showers I can live with, I just hope we don't get torrential rain!!

If you got four wheel drive and tire chains, you can go anywhere you want to on this archery side without even one back door pucker, even with knobbers, read that deep treaded mud or snow treads, and no chains and you are good in a shorty like a jeep, but probably still good in a big goat, aka dodge, or a F150.

Last March on the South Side I had ole Blue, 05' F150 FX4, in a torrential downpour Friday that lead to a whiteout on Saturday and then melted on Sunday, and I was good to go, I didn't hunt around the off camber areas Speck has made Tejon famous for, but only once was I puckering and that was just a bad decision on where we tried to get dad's pig out from, backtracking vice just following the road around to new country which as it turns out was clean and easy, but we made it up mount mofo and were good to go.

but again my background is with Fords, so I don't know what them thar Yoters or Goats will do.

Well... hopefully we won't need the chains, but I have them as well as a winch. Still watching the weather man real close.

I'm actually a lot more concerned about blood trailing than I am about getting stuck. Don't mind being a little embarrassed, but I sure do hate to lose a hit animal.

Sharpen 'em up, boys! 50 hours from now I expect to be rolling into the parking lot at Flying J in Lebec (last exit before Tejon) to meet up for breakfast. By noon, I expect to be unpacking my bedroll and settling my arrows into the quiver.

If you don't have my cell phone number, shoot me an email.

Otherwise, let's get 'em rolling!
