Keith Warren's Show

Did anybody else catch Keith Warrens Hunting adventure's today (06/23/03) ?
This show made me sick !!!
Here he comes to Antelope hunt NW Colorado which he can't even pronounce, he say's Calarada, and goes on a private land (RFW) hunt using a muzzleloader he doesnt even know how to use. He shoots this buck (after he misses the 60 yard shot) at 213 yards and hits it high in the left rear leg, and then goes on to brag about what a great shot he made. Geez....some people
But then this is the same Goober that comes to CO to shoot a "High Fence" Elk on another show.
Am I the only one that gets sick from watching his show?

Sorry for ranting, but this guy gives hunters a Black eye

I have not seen his show, but have seen shows like his. They are disgusting examples of what passes for hunting these "hunters" and their "canned hunts".

I agree. If anything I think it should be a requirement to pass a 4th grade english grammar and literacy exam to be on a hunting show. If I had a dime for each time I heard "I seen..." on the Outdoor Channel, I wouldn't have to sit in this office chair. Some of these guys are an outright disgrace. I don't mean to sound like an elitist but don't you learn basic grammar in grade school? These morons are all grown adults. It is shows like these that give us hunters bad names for being dumb, lazy slobs that will sling lead at anything that moves. I hate the redneck stereotype that hunting already has. These idiots only add to the problem. Learn how to speak and carry yourself like an ethical sportsman if you are going to show your mug on national television!

Yah, that pisses me off. I can't stand the fenced-in ranch hunts, whether on TV or not. Bad grammer ain't bothering me. It's just the fact these call what they're doing "hunting." To me hunting is putting forth a serious effort to find game. If you are hunting somewhere's where there are forkies running through camp, then you should be hunting for a big 'ole 4x4. Shoot, that's the fun part. The challenge is what it's all about, for me anyways. I could have shot a bunch of does (legally) from my treestand. But, killing a buck with a bow is a major task in my parts. I haven't kilt nothin' in three years. But, I still enjoy the heck out of it.

I was just venting about this show to a guy at work yesterday. You know, if he would have admitted that he made a less than great shot and just explained how lucky he was to even harvest that antelope, I probably would have just thought to myself "well, that sh*t happens to all of us sometimes." But he was patting himself on the back for that shot when he just missed at 60 yards. What a joke.

Welcome, Kelcher and excellent point! If you hunt long enough you're going to make a bad shot. If he'd 'fessed up to it he'd have looked a whole lot better.

A couple months ago Tom Miranda had a whole show of his hunting bloopers. All the botched shots, deer he didn't see, other heartbreakers. He mostly archery hunts so most of these missed shots were right over the back or deflected off branches.
